      CENTRAL PRESBYTERIAN HOMELESS NIGHT SHELTER
An opportunity to share hospitality and compassion, offering homeless
guests a hot meal, a warm, safe place to spend the night, medical and
foot care and the fellowship of caring. Holy Trinity sponsors the second
Thursday of each month, November through March, serving up to 80
individuals dinner and sending them off at 6:00 am with a bag lunch.
Volunteers can serve in a wide variety of roles including making/buying
food items, buying bibles or items for spiritual growth, spending the
night, serving, providing clothing and other essentials that could be of
use to the homeless community. Individuals or groups have also
collected water bottles, toboggan caps, fleece scarfs, etc. in the past.
The men love when children of all ages from our Faith Formation classes
decorate the lunch bags and some make snacks for their lunches with
inspirational notes. The Night Shelter website with more information is
www.centralshelter.org The shelter is an all-volunteer organization with
no paid staff. Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions or
want to help in any way. It is a great group with many rewards.
